Gaps and Overlays

Double-sided printed photos superimposed and distanced byPlexiglas plates. A mirror embedded on theorange surface of the base allows the viewer to see the back of the photograph. The sequence of images changes according to the viewer's point of view. The color image appears on top of the archive image when seen from above, and vice versa when seen from below.

References: The color photo is a screenshot of a filming done at Le Récif in 2017. The black and white photo was published in the newspaper Le Devoir (circa 1972).

This work was presented in the Youth Pavilions exhibition.
